Agreed on the mobile improvement! I still mostly play and post from my laptop, but it sure is nice to be able to check things on my phone without any of the hoops and difficulties that came with doing so on the old site.
I'm not sure I'll ever be a full-on mobile guy here at TTW but damned if it isn't nice to have options.

Cheers to more improvements, my friend! Onward and upward (and app-ward, I suppose)!

A thought occurred to me/was brought up by one of the people who applied to my recently opened campaign: Do (new) people here actually realize that the sidebar on the main page is where all the recruitment happens? That there is no official "recruitment office" like there was on the previous version of the site? It might not be as obvious as we'd like it to be. Mayhaps something ought to be done to make it more obvious?
Now, admittedly, my game may have just been especially uninteresting, but getting only 5 applications in a week, at least two of which were basically admins saying 'hey, if you need slots filled, I'm your guy!', seems like a low number to me when we have roughly 300 active users if the statistics shown at the bottom of the page are to be believed.
Edit: It was brought to my attention as well that inviting people to your campaign and/or editing its settings is meant to be easy. Turns out it is, but if you are viewing the page in dark mode (dungeondelver's dream), the little black gear for settings is completely invisible. The only way to see it is if you mouse over it. I had no idea that was there until someone else pointed it out to me because of this.Last edited by Faeryl; 05-15-2021, 02:18 AM.Active Character(s):

Thanks for letting us know! We’ll have to look at that issue occurring for Dungeon Delver mode.

One of our party members noticed that the character sheet did not add armour bonus to AC. Turned out, the sheet is smart enough to consider the "Type" field and only add valid types such as "medium" in this case. An awesome feature, I must say, but the field was filled in as "med" for short and there was no obvious way of knowing this was wrong.
Might I suggest that the character sheets make this behaviour clear somehow? For example by making the "Type" a drop-down menu with only valid choices and/or by clearly marking AC Items that are not counted towards AC for any reason.
I have confirmed that the spelling of the "Type" field of AC Items is important in both Pathfinder and 3.5 sheets.
I hope I didn't simply fail to read instructions. If this is our fault, please let me know how we can learn how this is supposed to work!

While I'm at it, may I suggest an export/import function for character sheets? I don't care much about the format, whatever is easiest to implement. As long as it contains all information including checkboxes and free format text fields such as feats.

From here to hereI should probably have called it backup/restore instead.
I like to keep a backup of my character in my own hands, and also compare between historical versions. For example to recall what I changed to level up long ago. Some kind of text format would allow automated comparison with diff tools.
Restoring old versions would be a nice bonus, but isn't nearly as important to me as backups.

In the screen that lists all your sheets there are three buttons after each sheet.
Edit.
Duplicate.
Delete.
If you want to create a "save" for a char as it is at one point you could simply duplicate said sheet, et voila.
This gives you an unlimited amount of backups.Last edited by Tiger; 05-28-2021, 10:10 AM.
