    P&P - Afterglow

    Afterglow
The sun has not gone out, it has been darkened.
It still exists, somewhere above the sky, but its light no longer reaches the world.
    In the darkness, people disappear.
    They are not killed.
    They are not taken.
They simply cease to exist once no one can see them.
Humanity survives in pockets of artificial light: generator-cities, lighthouse fortresses, roaming caravans carrying fire and glow. Light is currency. Darkness is a sentence.

The only Factions have been given the ability to stand against the dark. The Order of Light.

Are there class restrictions on being a Lightbearer or Lightbound?

Seems pathfinder might been the wrong choice, will keep this up another week.

I think it's less that you picked an unpopular system (although there's always the chance) and more that this site just doesn't have the traffic it did ten years ago.
It could also be that the horror theme you've advertised is not popular enough over here. You also have what appears to be a permadeath system in place, which makes sense with the theming of your game world, but is not particularly well-liked in most circles. Not that I've seen, anyhow.

I see, thank you for the impute, will keep this up another week then while working on something else.
If you don't mind me asking, what is the more popular setting?

I think d&d 5e is still probably the most popular overall setting. Although YMMV depending on where you're recruiting for/hosting your game. Here on TTW, I genuinely could not tell you. I don't think there are enough active users looking for games to take a census on the matter. Older users like myself might prefer the older systems, but the only real advice I can give you is to just pick a system you're comfortable running and give it a shot. If you don't get enough hits for a full group (whatever size that may be to you), then it may be that your premise isn't drawing interest; as I mentioned in my previous post.

If you really want to run something like this game, you may have better luck on another, more active website. I don't want to say "abandon hope, all ye who enter here", but there doesn't seem to be much interest for this specific idea here. Your ad has been up for 2 weeks and had one response. You might have better luck with a more generic setting? Something less horror-focused? Just an idea I'm throwing out. No real telling one way or the other until and unless you actually go through with it.

For what it's worth, I think your setting is interesting, but it's just not my type of game. Although the lack of other interest certainly did not help either...

As you say the lack of people does hurt, most view in the channel are my own. If people don't even look it's a lost cause from the beginning.
Thanks again for your input, will keep trying as I enjoyed the site when it was more active and will try to get it moving again with some dm games of other settings.
                  Cheers

This right here is the right attitude. If we could get more people to come back and offer to DM some games, the players would soon follow.

Locking this game down as not enough people are interested. Will shortly open up something else.
