Background Information
Setting: Xy Fi – Set in the mid 30th century (2957 AD), loosely based on Stephen R. Donaldson’s The Gap Cycle.
Genre: Hard SF survival horror.
Style: Epic – one journey with several twists
Difficulty Rating: 4 – Difficult – Life is hard. People tend to have their own motivations, danger lurks everywhere, and information is a valuable commodity. Failures are sown into the flesh.
Content Rating: 4 – R-rated – For scenes of horror and violence.
Challenge Mix: Primarily tactical and mental challenges, some physical and moral challenges.
Schedule: Sat, 7:00p~11:00p, PST; Sat, 10:00p~2:00a, EST; Sun 3:00a~7:00a, GMT.
Duration: 1 adventure, 6 to 8 sessions.
Character Creation
Level: 80 points (50 base, 2 bonus increments; Skills capped at 5 ranks and one specialization).
Species: All characters are human or mostly human (no robots, GitS, or aliens).
Profession: Expert in a non-combat field.
Possessions: All gear is considered OSP (on-site procurement).
Profile: I need a physical description suitable for the whiteboard, a personality synopsis, justification for competencies beyond the profession and basic necessity, and the top three motivators for action (What things make the character feel they must take action?).
Restrictions: No untreated mental/physical drawbacks of 2 or greater, no social drawbacks of 3 or greater

Notes
Alex: Stop metagaming. Darren and Phil are perfectly good role-players and assuming they are not is an insult. Think of Ken, Keiran, Sam, and Tim; not Alex, Darren, Phil, and Xy.
Darren: Your action posts should be in present tense. Save future tense for intentions or as part of tells.
Xy: Pay attention to the damn game, you’re the GM.
