Welcome Mags! Everyone's welcome here at TTW, newbies and long-time vets alike. Sorry it took me so darned long to see this post and reply to it!
Feel free to poke around, post on comment board, play with our character sheets, apply to join a game that's advertised as recruiting or start up a game and run it yourself! In my experience, the fastest and easiest way to get into play by post gaming is to start up a game and recruit players to join in. All GMs are always welcome around here, so don't let your newbie status dissuade you from starting something up.
