"Oh. Okay." Lamashtu says relieved as she smiles; still quite an unsettling sight. She takes place on Sharlot's empty chair and picks up the piece of pork the changeling left on her plate, happily biting through the bone as well as the meat.
Her round of questions seems to have come to an end.

Goodwyn considered Sharlot's offer as it were a very important decision. It had occurred to him that he might simply sit next to her as friend to comfort, but he did not know her well enough to judge if such an action would be helpful or if she might interpret his kindness as some other less innocent interest. He'd address her questions first.

    "Parental slaughter?"
What? Is she an adopted runaway?

"I don't think parents always feel adequate for raising their children."

A crease lined Goodwyn's brow, he'd have to agree with the woman, she likely wouldn't make a good mother... least wise not right now. But, she did have a great deal of passion, maybe she just needed help? He'd have to think on it.

"The bag? It only weighs a few pounds... your world has a lot of magic."
    Not like mine

"Besides... where am I going to put it?"
    What was that sound?

Goodwyn had ignored the scraping sound for only a moment, he felt safe inside the citadel why should he be on alert? Looking up, the youthful half-elf paled as he motioned stiffly to the sitting bard.

    "Get in the room... now..."

His voice was unusually clear and firm, though mixed with fear and alarm as he placed himself in a position to cover Sharlot.

Sharlot gestures at the floor for bag place-age but Goodwyn's stiff motioning stops her before she can say anything. She leans forward to see whatever's caught his attention down the hall. Oh. He can see it too. But...I'm guessing he didn't take a shroom enema at a brothel earlier. Hags dang it. Then every muscle in her body goes rigid. The kid. "Doing it."

The changeling slams her hand back against the doorframe, gripping hard. Her heels dig into the floor as she pushes up. The momentum swings her round back into the dining room. "Tsu. Gorgon. Protect the kid."

Tarsus scrambles to his feet, but he catches himself before running to his gear and slowly turns to look at the godling. "Lamashtu," he says, innocently, "what did you make, little one?"

Lamashtu holds the spare ribs just before her mouth mid-chew when Tarsus asks and her eyes shift nervously. She swallows heavily as Goodwyn closes and bars the door moments before something heavy slams into it making it crack.
She quickly points to Tsukohari and exclaims:
"She just said I didn't have to tell you!"

"We're going to talk about this," Tarsus says sternly to Lamashtu, grabbing his flail and rushing toward the door. As a reflex, he raises his shield-arm and attempts to cast bless, remembering only halfway through that his goddess has abandoned him.

Up out of her seat, Tsu's feet patter against the wood. "Yes but friends don't let friends get attacked by giant monsters! It's impolite!!" Leaping, she punctuates the last word with a sudden slash, drawing her sword and cutting in the same motion. "Right here, you bastard!!"
