"I told him there was a Tengu in our Company," Tarsus sighs, "but I'm sorry to say your name didn't come up. I didn't see anyone hanging off of his arm, though," he smiles. This has turned into a far more interesting conversation than I expected, the cleric muses. "I suppose I should have dropped your name instead of Maynard's." He winks, wondering if Tengus blush.

They don't blush, but apparently, just like in the baths, they sink into their seats, neck lowering toward their shoulders and feathers all out, making a crooning noise. She's just a lovebird. Toshiiiirooo~ "...m-maybe..."

Brura walks back into the Labyrinth and finds Eris back in the barracks, strapping on her shin guards. As she sees the hobgoblin she smiles.
"Ah, just in time. Here, help me strap me in my armor." she says as she pulls her breastplate over her head and pulls her long black hair up and into a ponytail. The straps on the sides loose and waiting for Brura's attention as she looks into the mirror before her and watches the hobgoblin behind her with those mismatched eyes of hers.

Brura found Eris in the barrack. And when he ready to walk over and makes some talk, he heard what Eris said and suddenly stands still as stone. His blood goes rage instantly. He hears a deep devilish voice in his head when he tries to fight off the rage. "Go get her now. This is what's both of you wanted." When Brura is waiting for some angelic voice to talk him out, instead he hears another voice but this time a high pitch feyish voice. "Yeah, go ahead. No one is here. And she will be all yours after."

Brura continues to walk toward Eris without saying anything when those voices continue convince him to commit the crime. He stops just before Eris with heavy breathing and hands shaking. At the very last moment the pride of the hobgoblin wins the battle. "I'm going to win the woman by heart, not by force." Beside the last sense of Brura reminds him that Eris is his boss, also he knew that she is not a woman that he can win a fight easily. He starts working with the armor without showing any sign of weakness. When it's finally done, Brura rushes out the barrack and back to his room. He puts out his dagger and scars himself on the arm without hesitation. After a few moment of silence, he walks out of his room and rejoin his teammate outside, letting the blood dripping on the way.

"Well, the next time I see him, I'll be sure to mention your name. And I'll let him know if he does that thing with his feathers, too." He returns to the story, looking to Bilser, "So, the favor. We cleared a Bad Moon house, killed a few zombies, adopted one, freed a few children, adopted one, killed a few goblins, and, well, left him to the other children." He smiles, "I imagine the sacrificial lambs became lions."

He leans back in his seat. "It was at that time that, unbeknownst to us, that trouble began brewing back at the cart. We returned, and Toshiro escorted us to the other side of Tengutown where we promptly were ambushed by a pack of Kobolds who, predictably enough, immediately retreated. Then we reached the Slaver's Guild and discovered that somewhere along the route, someone had stole our slave. We imagined it had to have been in Tengutown, and so we retraced our footsteps, tracked down the slave and Toshiro, who, as it turns out, knew who stole the slave without actually knowing that the slave had been stolen."

Snapping out of her reverie, she listens to the tale, thinking. It sounds like they had lots of trouble. "Tengu tend to have a keen eye for trouble and shiny objects, so that one doesn't really surprise me. The better question is: do some Tengu embrace the image of being thieves, or were they called thieves because of their image? Nobody really knows." Tsu stands up, testing the heft of one of her rope-darts, and starts spinning it. Hmm...wait for it...release!

The dart sinks right into the wooden beam she was aiming for, sticking out - she grips the end of the cord, pulling it back. This one works, at least. "I do know I can't work a bow worth a damn without pulling out feathers, so I'm sticking to what I know."

Tarsus raises his eyebrows as Tsukohari attacks the post, "I didn't call them thieves, then or now," he corrects her. I was careful not to, he mentally notes. "I merely asked him if he'd heard anything of the theft. 'Twas the driver who stole the slave." He's not sure if she's upset or not. "Toshiro saw him go underneath the wagon in our absence, but assumed nothing out of the ordinary happened." Hard as it is to read the face of a woman, it's another thing entirely to read her face when she's a giant crow.

"Hmm? Oh, just musing. I was just saying we've got keen eyes, and our noses always find trouble. I didn't mean to scare you, there - just testing a weapon for efficacy." Hmm. She sits back down, working on the next rope dart. "So, did you catch the driver?"

"Aye, with the slave." He sighs, remembering how the mission turned out. He'd hoped to turn Sven into an asset, rather than a criminal. "I think the stupid boy was in love."

Bilser raises an eyebrow when he hears the part of the driver being in love. "Young and reckless. The real question however is how a journeyman of the transport guild could meet a slave girl. They're not in the same social strata."
