Rolen quickly scales a smooth, wet wall with surprising ease. He pulls out his rope and, even though there's not much up there to tie it around, he makes a loop knot and hangs it around a particularly big jagged piece of stone that is sticking straight upwards. The knot is awful but Rolen thinks it's great.

Rolen is reminded of the tale of Ulfgar Bolgrin, whose cliffside village was attacked by raiders. Having thought they slaughtered the whole village population, they made camp. They did not know that Ulfgar was hiding. While the raiders slept that night, Ulfgar came out of hiding, snuck around with nothing but 500ft of silk rope, and tied it around the necks of each raider before tying the other end to a large rock and pushing it off the cliff. Their screams as they were each dragged over the cliff one by one could be heard in the night by the next village further down the mountain.

Damian is pretty sure the knot is bad but he gives it a tug and it holds. He climbs up to the opening alongside Damian and looks through. There is about a couple feet of space and a big, closed door.

Gallant grabs the rope to also climb up but he only makes it a few feet up before the rope's knot unties itself and the rope falls to the ground. Gallant lands on his feet with no trouble. A huge lighting bolt strikes about a hundred feet away followed by a deafening peal of thunder. Rolen and Damian feel their half of the stone rock a little bit inward toward the door and then rock back outward toward the storm. It doesn't stop. It's gonna fall over!

    • DC 15 Acrobatics or Athletics check, Rolen, Damian, and Gallant.

Gallant manages to turn and sprint clear of the falling half-slab's range. Rolen almost makes it, but the slab falls down on his lower half, pinning him to the ground with only his upper half sticking out past the edge. Damian is completely under the slab when it lands, and he finds himself being slowly pushed into the muddy ground, made soft by all the rain.

A collective shout of horrified surprise is let out by the trio of human fellows and they start moving that way to help, but then the long-haired one yells, "Look out!" The other half is coming down, too.

    • Rolen takes 10 damage.
    • Damian takes 10 damage and has been denied access to air. Luckily, he has a very high Constitution and can hold his breath for an impressive five minutes.
    • DC 15 Acrobatics or Athletics check, Yeunni.

The dark.... the sucking mud..... its everything he can do not to panic and lose what little oxygen he has.... he taps at the rock as best as he can so that the others know that he is still alive.....and prays they hear it over the storm.

After the unintelligible moans of pain Rolen manages to squeeze out a few strained words.
”I ... I think ... I’m ... stuck.” Blood and saliva dribble from the corner of his mouth which surprisingly turns up in a mocking smile. ”But at least ... now at least ... y’all don’t need ... to be scared ... of climbing. Doors open!” Shortly after he starts a wheezing cough that might be laughter but certainly full of pain.

Gallant, recovering from his chance dodge of the falling stone, returns to the rubble. He sees Rolen, trapped, and the place where Damian stood just moments ago. Praying that the slab isn't as heavy as it looks, he attempts to lift it just enough for these new companions to crawl out from underneath.

Gallant finds that the slab is actually even heavier than it looks. No one by themselves could lift this.

The blonde man with the goatee and the long-haired man manage to dodge out of the way. Yeunni's eyes grow wide as she watches the slab crashing down toward her. At the last second, she is hit hard by the Captain, his shoulder impacting directly with her breastplate and sending her sprawling away. She lands just outside the slab's area of effect and the Captain takes the full force of the falling slab.

    "Captain!!" the long-haired man yells.

The man with the goatee rushes up and casts alter size on the slab. It shrinks down to half its size, uncovering the Captain in the process. The long-haired man pulls the Captain up out of the mud while the man with the goatee wastes no time rushing over tot he second slab. He casts alter size again. The second slab piece shrinks, uncovering Rolen. Damian is still under the slab, but now it's light enough that everyone working together can lift it up so that Damian can breathe and get free.

    • Yeunni takes 3 damage.
    • The Captain takes 10 damage.
