Alright well, seeing as Vannis is first in the initiative order, I'll keep the action I described most recently and have him push into the crowd to the inner circle to get a better look at the fight.

Do Kassandra & Jayven see all these from their vantage point?

Yes being on the stairs allows you to see over the heads towards where the fight it though you don't see the injuries as well.

Half-orc is a woman, it is easy to miss though based on the passage introducing the fight.

Ouch, didn't go so well (critical failure). I guess Vannis isn't as persuasive as he was expecting .

Well in 5e there is no critical fail in skill checks....so if your modifier was high enough (say from expertise) you could pass on a 1 with some rolls sometimes....at high level....or if say you did stealth vs perception and they roll a 2+0 and you rolled a 1+2

Oh my mistake, but I'm guessing in this scenario my roll still fails?

Yeah...there is a reason you got disadvantage.

Just to establish gameplay rules (as it tends to vary among DMs), because I failed that roll should I wait for you to create a consequence? Or should I just RP knowing it was a failure?
