Hrothgar just sneers and growls to himself as if to say... lead on to the damn well then....

As Brandon's light spell takes hold, so does another light spell, probably 100 yards downstream of Ult. Striding forward is a lone female human. She is walking on top of the water and dressed in an elegant black shimmering dress. Her beauty is best described as godly with a flawless complexion, wavy jet black hair, and a sleek athletic build. Her dress is tight, but a slit runs up side of it, exposing plenty of toned leg cleavage as she continues advancing on the water at a fast walk pace.

Her eyes train on the group and her expression is a mixture of displeasure mixed with anticipation. The only thing that she seems to be carrying in her gloved black hand was a light sphere. While she didn't need it to see, she took comfort in striking fear into the worms that dared interfere with her master plan. Let them gaze upon her and tremble at their power. Perhaps they would grovel and beg for their lives.

Seeing her striding forward, Ult reaffirmed his plan, stating, "Into the well!" With that he jumped over the steep dam on the northern side into the blackness below. With few other options on the table, Velkyn and Alyssa followed over the sides of the waterway. The remaining Firewalkers in line opted to take their chances at the tunnel, pushing each other up the narrow passage.

Only Brandon hesitated. Barely audible, the voice in the back of his mind warned him against going into the well with a faint "The well is death."

Only silence greets Kalthanar in response, which was not the answer he was looking for.

The woman continues to stride forward. Hearing his plea, Takhisis begins laughing at him. She says simply, "That pathetic fool can't save you. You're as weak as he is!"

Hrothgar makes a slightly obscene gesture then leaps into the well also.

With limited options, and time running out the Sentinels opt to take their chances jumping down a magical well than face Takhisis herself in their current weakened state. In quick succession they plummet over the edge of small cliff and into the unknown below.

The well itself was actually about 50 feet down a steep embankment, but was thankfully about 15 feet in diameter. With no time to scale it properly, the Sentinels, Alyssa, and Velkyn freefall for several seconds before entering the magical well. They continue falling for another 30 feet when inside the well certain by now that they are going to break every bone in their body when they hit the ground.

Brandon hears one faint voice in his head before it departs. It cautions him, “He lies” before fading out entirely.

They brace themselves for the inevitable as a strange feeling begins washing over them and their bodies seem to stretch unnaturally.

Up above, the Dark Queen watched with mild amusement as they tried to save themselves by going into the well. How had this lot of fools managed to best her faithful followers? Her loyalists were even weaker than she feared, which only strengthened her belief that she needed to teach those remaining a serious lesson in competence and obedience. Regardless, she found it somewhat flattering that they would rather plummet to their assured deaths than so much as try to engage her in combat. Perhaps after she sealed up the well, she would ask her faithful to make the same jump to the bottom of the solid well below. Yes, that sounds like an excellent idea.

As the last person jumped, Takhisis strode forward to the waterslide tunnel. With a wave of her hand, she caused the tunnel to collapse, killing those still remaining within it. She smiled at this small comfort and then turned her attention to the well.
