Vala's cloak waves slightly; just enough for three bolts to fly directly at the lizardmen spokesman.

"Weapons! Down!" Vala shouts in a commanding voice.

Illimistra will move 30 feet toward the lizardfolk and will take the Dodge action. If she can reasonably do so while staying behind any sort of cover - tree, boulder, etc. - she will do so.
Grim advances 30 feet towards the lizardfolk as well and imbues his staff with nature's energy as he takes a defensive stance.
Any hostile reaching within 5 feet of him will get hit by a polearm master reaction attack first.
Ignatius, seeing the lizards in boats, gets the idea to try and strain their forces, split them up before they all come to shore at once. He snaps his fingers, and... nothing seems to happen.
If this works, only some of them will be able to advance further... Focus on the ones coming to shore! Ignatius commands to his allies (Bonus action for Psychic Focus Telepathic Contact. Action for Wall of Repulsion at max range. DC 16 Wisdom Save)

The lizardman has no time to be afraid of you before it is pummeled into unconsciousness by your bolts.
Those of you moving forward quickly find yourselves in ankle deep water, and it would seem that the water gets deeper (at least deep enough for boats to pole through it) if you move further. Any movement further into the water will be difficult terrain.

The lizardfolk pole their boats forward until they run into the psychic wall.

Some of the lizardfolk fall backwards into the water as they run into the wall and the boat slows to a stop. They are now 20 feet away from those of you who moved forward (Illimistra and Grim), and 60 feet away from your starting positions for those who didn't move.
Even those in the water use their swim speeds to rise to the surface and launch their javelins along with the others, all aimed at those two who moved closer.

Grim barely pays mind to the one javelin that skips past his large shield and breaks against his armor, probably causing a minor bruise underneath.
He charges the nearest lizardfolk with intent and swings his staff, which he imbues further with lightning magic before making his strike.
Lightning Staff (Shillelagh) - (1d20+9) (18) [27]
Bludgeoning - (1d8+5) (2) [7]
Lightning - (1d4) (3) [3]
He then mutters a quick incantation and thrusts his palm forward at his target (who he just swung at) and a spectral sword with the hilt shaped like a Dragon Head appears out of thin air next to it and swings at it.
Spiritual Weapon (Level 3) - (1d20+8) (20) [28]
Force Damage - (2d8+5) (5, 8) [18]
For the duration of this battle, Grim is always attacking with an intent to disable and not kill unless otherwise specified.
