Thoja'nnom, mostly, is curious about what they're keeping in a relatively small room. She tries the interior door - mostly, looking for some sort of portal or whatnot. She's going to assume the first exterior door is where the guards stay.

The blacksmith steps up and cries out for help in Giant, picking up her hammer along the way. When you open the inner door, you see that it is a spiral staircase with paths both up and down. It will take 60 feet worth of movement to go up or down a floor, and you don't know where the paths lead. However, you may not have an option. The swami offers, "We could split up and try to hope they go after only one pair."

The door nearby seems to be ready for someone else to pass through, so you'll need to decide whether you want to take your chances going downstairs or turning back.

She shakes her head quickly, putting a finger to her lips and speaking aloud, "Go on ahead, shall cover you!" Ushering them to the stairwell quickly, she casts a spell to hopefully buy more time: an image of herself, projected just around the corner so her tail pokes unstealthily around the stone for the moving giant's line of sight, as she closes the door behind the group.

And she points up. Swiftly, no splitting! She's remembered that the cages were lowered down, making it probable that they have to go up to get out.

Casting: Silent Image to make a fake Thoja'nnom against the corner (in the fog of war, just visible and "trying to hide" from pursuers)

Hyberion quickly follows Thoj'annom's lead, guiding the others through the stairs as well. He looks back with much anticipation and worry, darting his eyes over at his ally. He decides not to cast any spells himself when Thoja casts Silent Image, believing that their assets should be split up correspondingly. He rushes upstairs and takes the lead.

The fake image does its small job as you rush into the stiarwell and the dam breaks, sending Formorians who were formerly hesitating after where they think you are.

The stairs seem to twist and turn as you step on them, and the spiral staircase turns pitch black as you climb, but it's too late to hesitate. As you think about any way to get out, the light returns, and the stairs come back to light and reality. You step, somewhat disoriented, out into a hallway which splits into a two-way headed left or right. The left side is a large and elaborate door suggesting a dining hall, and the right side leads down into a hallway which is ended by a circular pool of water.

A feeling that you've been turned around sinks in as Thoja realizes her sensation of north has been turned 180 degrees upon stepping out. It doesn't help that you can see someone literally running on the pool's water towards you- he's not a Formorian, at least. Thankfully, on the right side of the rightway passage, you realize that the faint light coming from it is natural light! Two right turns and you're hopefully home free!
