Default Small Town Secrets- In Character Thread.

The blowback from the staff quest was greater than you thought at first. Every single guard on duty that night was fired, and Jokan Bridges became a hunted man and popular target for bounty hunters until he fled town in the middle of the night. About 3 or 4 weeks of laying low until the millionare you ripped off chills out have gotten on your nerves. At first, you were glad of some downtime from the constant travel and relaxed, but nothing to do soon caused some friction in your group. Finally, out of sheer boredom more than anything, you've taken a job delivering a part for the mill for about 750 gold each to the small village of Shakington, about a day's journey downriver from Highbridge. The sun is just beginning it's descent into the twilight hours and the late winter mix of brown grass and patch snow and mud squelch and slurp underfoot as you arrive on the outskirts of town. What do you do?

"Think they're still up and running at the mill?", Arasmes asks loudly enough so that everyone can hear him. He is holding up his mirror and making sure he looks his best before meeting anyone from the village. "I'd like to get that reward, then we can go to an inn and relax after walking the whole day."

He sneaked a peek at Oru who was moving just as gracefully as when they've started walking in the morning. Was there anything about him that wasn't perfect?

You see the mill on the outskirts of town, and yes, a light burns inside.

"Woohoo. Easy money, here we come. Let's go!", Arasmes urges others to continue toward the mill.

"It's just nice to stretch our legs again." Plesio preferred to stay unnoticed, especially when he was doing something legally grey, but even he was starting to itch from cabin fever.

When they arrive at the mill, Arasmes knocks at the door: "Delivery!", he yells melodically.

A human man in his 40's and covered in grease and flour answers the door. He dusts some of the flour off. "That was swift. I thought it'd take atleast another week for the part to arrive." He offers his hand, but retracts ut when he realizes how filthy he is. "Zanaris Milson. Welcome to Shakington Village."

"Of course. There remains a small matter of payment and we will be on our way after we leave this with you.", Arasmes replies courtly.

Our just follows the group until they get to the mill. Our continues to walk past the mill and just looks around to take in the scenery and dwell on how he nearly ruined the mission by being really clumsy.

Cyrmian obviously has nothing to add to a negotiation aside from looking vaguely threatening.
