This was... surprisingly good. Zoe thought to herself as she flipped over the makeshift hatchet. It had quite a stubby head, it was intended for use with one hand naturally. There was some room for improvement naturally. Perhaps she could work on it between cars for Hagrid but for work without tools... She liked it, it was stuff now.

Seeing that the others were ready took her place in the arcane circle. Then after a few moments after stood back up. She looked over the still meditative bodies of the other and murmured, "Nap time little cubs, big sis will keep you safe." Hmm, guess that doesn't really work here with Hagrid, she thought to herself. Standing she walked to the edge of the room and dragged a comfy chair over to the circle and made herself comfortable. Keeping a watch on the noted entrances she settled in for a long haul. She hadn't really considered it before, mostly as she had only just met the rest of her 'cabal', pfft pack sounded better, if this lot even counted, but was she actually older than anybody else here? Definitely not Hagrid, but the others, well now she had time to ponder this along with how little she had known them for.

It didn't take long for Zoe's hair to become slick from the downpour of the storm. Her boiler suit, for the most part, kept the rest of her dry. It didn't however do anything against the blinding flash from the lightning strikes "Gahh! Damnnit! Of course the first thing I see tries to blind me." She rubbed her eyes on the back of her sleeve until blurry vision returned, she really needed to invest in some sunglasses. Looking when she could Zoe noted the five tents

"I think we should pick one and go inside, if quiets about like retreating inwards when you screw up I think these make a decent metaphor or whatever. Plus the less I get like, blinded and soaked the better we all are." Between the strike Zoe tried to scan around for anything beyond the tents. She knew little about possible native culture itself to decipher any marking or imagery on the tents. The closet she had was a very basic knowledge of the Wendigo Garous and by their nature they were very secretive of their customs, rituals and symbolism in regards to 'western' tribes. She doubted her shallow knowledge of them would even translate to any of the myriad of human tribes let alone the possible mage tribes on top of those.

Looking around it is hard to see anything. The earth beneath your feet is muddy and devoid of vegetation and there are hints of what could be mountains when the lightning strikes but you can't be sure. The tepees look like, well like tepees to you. You can't say anything else about them because none of you know anything about native american culture.
Picking one at random you step over to one of the Indian abodes and step inside. The noise from the storm vanishes immediately and you realize you're no longer wet and cold once inside. In fact, you're not in a tepee at all but in what looks like furnished basement. Quite a small one at that. There's a small bed and sink and a toilet and a handful of children's clothes on some nails in the wall. A ragged sad looking teddy bear sits on the bed and on a small table is a sketch book and some crayons. Every inch of the book is filled with drawings; those of a child. And what they show isn't pretty.
In a corner in the small cramped basement, on a small rug sits a girl with unkempt black hair. Her arms around her legs, knees drawn up against her chest. You don't think she's older than 12. She's crying softly.

Hagrid decides to keep an eye on the group but follows behind Zoe a little ways, just enough to reach the Tepee she decides to enter. He, however, doesn't, and remains outside to react faster to more potential indian threats. He grimaces as the cold rain gets all down inside his vest, soaking everything under it. From what he had heard of werewolves (admittedly extremely little) they kind of reminded him of native americans, so he figured it was for the best to allow Zoe first contact. If he heard any screams or crashes he would follow, but if a pow wow or something was going on he wanted to let the most familiar of them a chance to work uninterrupted.

This wasn't exactly a problem she could rip through, Zoe thought to herself. She had some experience with kids, sometimes even troubled kids given her kin's nature, but it was mostly keeping them occupied while others took a break from minding them. She was hardly an expert on such matters. Still this was someone's mind, she was hardly going to drop her guard completely just because the possible threat was small. Then again, with Metis cubs small threats were sometimes the worst.

She edged into the room and looked over at the open page of the sketchbook, she wasn't going to rummage through and start flipping through the book. Even if this was some demon Wyrm spawn ready to jump her there were some things you didn't look through without permission. She sat on the edge of the bed nearest to door and looked down to the child. With a short false clearing of her throat to announce her presence she calmly asked, "Hey cub, you alright?"

As soon as the words left her lips Zoe how dumb she sounded as the answer seemed obvious. She tried her best to look partially concerned, though she had always found her face never quite contorted the way she wanted it to. She tossed a look back to the group hoping someone with a better grasp on the situation would present themselves as an uneasy feeling set in.

Niels pops his head through the doorway. Every sense in his body screams 'Silent Hill,' and offers only one logical conclusion. He mouths 'Svea' at Zoe and points from a hand held up by his shoulder at the creepy child surrounded by anachronisms in her basement-tepee. Where does the Quiet end?

Startled by the changes, Elena nonetheless is all too familiar with this sort of thing. This is just like her mind. She takes her time observing the drawings, frowning - need to figure out everything they can here.

Sarah edges into the teepee-basement and keeps her back to the wall, tilting her head at the child and trying to figure out if it's the same one they saw on the road before coming in here. Her stomach can't help but tie in knots, though, because the long black hair is far too reminiscent of Alma from the FEAR games, and the 'bowed down and crying' pose really isn't helping to alleviate the comparison.

The drawings in the sketchbook clearly display an age range of more than 5 years. But the drawings are all of a disturbing nature with a large monster like male figure and a small deformed second figure. Probably herself. It doesn't take a degree in psychology to see the effects and concequences of abuse in the drawings. It is clear this isn't a room but a cage; a prison.

When Zoe addresses the child she looks up. Her eyes red from crying behind unkempt tangled black hair. Her lip is split but it looks like that small wound is a few days old.
She shakes her head and says softly:
"There's an intruder among us. One that isn't supposed to be here."

Zoe offered a slow, silent, sarcastic thumbs up to Niels along with an accompanying face to emphasis her point of 'no duh.' Turning back to the child when she spoke Zoe stared at the dark haired girl, finding her response rather cryptic. Which caused her to mutter "That defines an intruder, I guess."

Clearing her throat she continued. "Listen, I'm like, really kind of dumb. So if you'd like my help fixing all this and setting things right," She gestured to the drawings and the girl's split lip. "Along with this intruder you're gonna need to like, explain things really simply, alright? Firstly do you know who you are, where you are and like, anything about what's going on, say to do with quiet? Second, and simply now, who's this intruder and what should we do about it."

Sarah stays back, since Zoe seems to 'have this' with regards to the whole 'talking to the possibly-Svea-child' thing, who apparently isn't the girl they saw out on the street. She glances around a bit as talk of 'intruders' starts, her left fingers tapping out an inconsistent beat on her leg as she tries to keep herself calm.
