The days have passed quickly after the meal at Finnegan's and the celbration afterwards. You have taken this time to prepare, purchasing whatever potions or supplies you need. (it's been maybe a week at most) Oru has informed the rest of the party about the quest that the monks have set him on, and it's with that in mind that each of you trudge through the snowy streets of Highbridge once again early in the morning. You enter the warmth of the Guildhall, and the clerk on duty, a female Halfing looks up and smiles at you. "Welcome to the Highbridge Guildhall. How can I help you?"
Over the week Guryaasa spent some time producing bullets and powder. Again she was rather focused while she measured, mixed, melted and cut the materials needed into their various states. Though it took the better part of a day she had made a good seventy balls and shot with time to spare to test her 'new' musket. From her various drills she decided to shed the weight of her backpack, buckler and swap her hide shirt for one of pale white chains, finding herself more nimble for it.
The rest of the week she spent following either Plesio, when she could find him, Mills, mostly commenting and curiously playing with the claws thatwere rapidly growing from him, or Lith, whom she kept trying to out drink, with expected results.
Upon entering the guildhall Guryasa initially waited for Arasmes to ask about the band they were pursuing though a thought jumped to the front of her mind.
"Yes. What happens if guild member harmed different guild member? Even if first had job to hunt second?" She asked the clerk.
Plesio collects his new sword and scabbard from the blacksmith they had help with debt collection, and -pleased with the result- gives the Dwarf more work. A second sword and scabbard, and emblems etched on both. On one a sun, and the other a moon.
Not content being too idle, Plesio spends his evening in lower end taverns discreetly asking about unusual groups of adventurers. If asked why he is asking, he simple states he is wondering if all as diversely matched as the group of which he is a member. In truth, he is looking for leads on the group that may have stolen the monk staff. The rest of the week he spends his mornings wondering the local area with Shadow and occasionally Guryaasa (and any others that express interest), his afternoons in a guild library reading (the subject that currently catches his attention is the Tengu), and his nights in a guild dorm with his equipment strategically placed to made theft more difficult.
Now, in the Highbridge Guildhall, after Guryaasa asks her question, a thought rises to mind. Could the staff theft have been a guild job? I doubt the guild would take offence. Any more than they would take offence to Jokan Bridges for refusing to pay his debt and attacking us. We would just be an unexpected obstacle of the job.
The Halfling woman twirls a loose strand of her hair thoughtfully. "Well. It has happened before. Not every guild member decides to stay straight. and not everyone that calls themselves an adventurer is a guild member. What we do here is to provide protection and insurance essentially. If say you were to damage a wall with your weapons during a guild job, We'd pay for the repairs. And like with your blacksmith job, You killed those men in pursuit of a guild job and in defense. the Watch will leave you be. Not that the Watch GOES to that part of Highbridge..." She trails off and blushes a little. "Sorry. I was rambling."
(Plesio, roll a Diplomacy to gather info about passing adventurers)

Arasmas, the Halfing woman gives you a big smile. she seems to be a naturally friendly and outgoing person, so beign friendly with her comes very easy.
Plesio:
You've spent a few hours trolling for information at the Giant's Toe and the Marketside Tavern. People at the Toe remember you from the takedown of Bridges and are a little less friendly than at the Marketside, where you've never been before. Eventually, you discern that about 2 to 3 weeks ago there was a group of adventurers that passed through Highbridge matching your description. You learn the following information about them.
1. The woman was indeed a half-elf.
2. The group split up and went in different directions, mentioning a need to 'lay low for a while'
3. The Dwarf said something about 'going back to Shardheim until you need me again'
4. the woman mentioned a contact.
While Lith joins the group in pursuing equipment at first, her plans to prepare for the impending hunt are more esoteric.
She first seeks out masterwork Wooden armour, commissioning it (with scale patterning) if an existing set isn't to be found. Once this is done, she takes note of the armour Arasmes had created for himself and before he sells off his tools asks him if he would make something for her as well.
(Waiting on whether Arasmes would agree.)
Beyond this she keeps busy; taking part in Oru's routine monk training/exercises if he allows her to (and is extremely focused in doing so), and being sure to invite Mills and Gury to hunt and share the resulting meal with her at least once. Each dawn she meditates on the day previous and the one to come.
(Confidant the offer would be taken up.) Survival - (10+10) [20] (Take 10)
Lith proves herself to be a very adept hunter. She explains briefly as they start tracking that she goes for the lame and elderly creatures, the healthy ones she leaves alone to keep the breeding stock strong. Though she does not say it explicitly, her opinion that the wildlife close to civilization has suffered from the lack of this practise is clear.
When they finally catch up to an appropriate quarry, and are poised to take it down, Gury and/or Mills witness Lith focus intently on the animal as her face abruptly erupt with pitch black scales, her jaw elongating into a lizard-like maw filled with vicious carnivorous teeth. That is all the warning given before she bursts out of the undergrowth and falls upon the animal like a bear, savagely sinking claws into the base of it's neck and ripping it's throat out with her fangs. Knelt by the felled beast, she raises her brow at the expressions she receives; "What?" She says, serpentine tongue collecting blood of her snout. It only lasts a minute before her features return to normal.
She's also glad to drink with Gury at times and proves that while she can certainly hold her alcohol better it's actually more down to her being adept at brute-forcing through the resulting sickness than any markedly greater fortitude.
Directing a question to the guild clerk, "What steps, if any, does the guild take regarding infighting between guild members/groups?" After she gives her answer, he thanks her for the help, then finds a comfortable seat in the common area (near the fireplace if they have one here).
