Thread: Combat 2

  1. Default Combat 2

I've attached a modified version of the map. Again, the gridlines were NOT intentionally on this map, but I realized that they figured out to about 25 feet per block, so I left them. If the battle gets a little closer in, I'll
post a new map w/ a smaller area.

    Initiative Rolls:

    Authentic Forum Dice-rollTristan - (1d20+3) [21]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollMaramil - (1d20+4) [20]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollAnder - (1d20+3) [10]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollAvery - (1d20+0) [9]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollSolario - (1d20+4) [7]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollCaelrin - (1d20+4) [5]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollGnolls - (1d20+1) [3]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollOgre - (1d20-1) [11]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollVillagers - (1d20+0) [11]

  2. Default

We will do initiative in blocks as in the first combat. Initiative goes:
    Tristan
    Maramil
    Villagers
    Ogre
    Ander
    Avery
    Solario
    Caelrin
    Gnolls

    Tristan and Maramil, you're up.

  3. #3

    Default

Maramil fires off another shot at the same gnoll, then ducks back below the hillock's ridgeline.

    Authentic Forum Dice-rollEldritch Blast Attack - ( d20+5 ) [7]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollEldritch Blast Damage - ( d10+d6 ) [3]

  4. Default

The gnoll hunches down and growls at Maramil and Avery, and Maramil's eldritch blast goes wide.

  5. Default

(Tristan, I'll catch back up w/ you later in the round)

There are now three villagers atop the walls firing arrows at the ogre, and two more trying to wrestle a crude and rusted ballista onto the palisade.

    Authentic Forum Dice-rollVillagers Attack - (3d20) (6, 20, 14) [40]

  6. Default

Two villagers hit with their arrows.

    Authentic Forum Dice-rollarrow damage - (1d6) [1]
    Authentic Forum Dice-rollarrow damage - (1d6) [5]

  7. Default

(Since the wooden wall is reinforced, I'm giving it an AC of 17 and a "damage threshold", basically the same thing as Hardness in 3.5 if you're familiar with that, of 10. The wall is divided into 5x5 sections, each with 50 hit points. The ogre will probably have to bust through two of these sections before the wall loses integrity)

The ogre slams his massive club into the wall Authentic Forum Dice-rollAttack - (1d20+6) [19]

  8. Default

    Authentic Forum Dice-rollDamage to Wall - (2d8+4) [20]

  9. Default

The ogre does 5 damage to the upper section of the wall.

Ander, Avery, Solario, Caelrin, and Tristan are up.

Ander will remain in position behind the "shrub or treelike thing" but ready to provide backup to Avery, who seems to be standing in the open?
